After earning his MBA in Business Finance from the University of Maine in 1994, Elias Boles had an 11-year career in the world of finance. He then retired and traveled for several years before he joined Globe Life National Income Division (NIL) in 2013. When he decided to start a second career, Eli was drawn to NIL. “Globe Life National Income Division products protect families to take the ‘unknowns and what ifs’ out of the equation and give hard-working families freedom from anxiety. What attracted me to NIL was the quality of its management, the training systems, and the leads,” Eli recalls.
Eli has outstanding achievements with Globe Life National Income Division. “I helped my Master General Agent (MGA) achieve #1 for the entire Company in 2016. I was Trainer of the Year in 2015 and 2016 for my Organization, the Organization’s Leader of the Year in 2017, and the #2 MGA in my category for the Organization. I’ve promoted four MGAs in my career, but my greatest personal accomplishment is becoming a State General Agent (SGA),” he states with pride.
Why did Eli want to become a leader? “I became an SGA to help people realize their dreams, goals, and aspirations. My heart and passion for coaching, teaching, and helping my team uniquely qualifies me to be in this position. I bring heart, passion, and a strong work ethic to the table. But the most rewarding aspect of joining NIL is watching my Agents receive renewals,” he emphasizes.
What’s Eli’s advice when you join the NIL family? “Always act in the best interests of your clients. When you’re a leader, do the same for your Agents and team. In addition, be sure to recruit. If I could restart my NIL career, I would personally recruit harder. Our Organization offers you an incredible career opportunity with unlimited growth, regardless of your background, previous work experience, education, etc.,” Eli stresses.
Supporting the community is of utmost importance to Eli. “I support many causes … Weekend Warriors, Roswell Cancer Center, Champions Academy for the Underprivileged, and Syracuse Spinal Association. We also have provided work-based learning opportunities for students with special needs at OCM Boces,” he says.
Although Eli loves what he does at Globe Life National Income Division, he still finds time to support his favorite sports teams: Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins. He also enjoys skiing, hiking, sailing, and diving and loves a good seafood dinner … especially lobster.
